A Decade of Coaching.
Two Programs That Matter.
How a decade of coaching 5000+ members led us to two programmes that actually solve the problems most fitness models ignore.
Where It Started — 2017.
Nitheesh opened CrossFit Vyom in 2017, followed by VyomFIT — coaching 5000+ members across Pune and Bengaluru residential communities over nearly a decade. It was a period defined by community energy and the relentless pursuit of human performance.
Nikita joined as co-founder, bringing her own background in high-performance training. Together, they saw first-hand how movement transforms lives — and began to notice the specific gaps traditional fitness models consistently left behind.
What a Decade of Coaching Taught Us.
We have coached hundreds of everyday people, from desk-bound professionals to new mothers. Over time, clear patterns emerged—underlying physical gaps that standard fitness routines simply weren't addressing.
Problem #1: Chronic back pain with no lasting solution
Desk professionals often find themselves in a cycle of temporary fixes. Massage or mobility work provides relief for a day, but without technical strength work to bridge the gaps, the pain always returns.
Problem #2: Women are preparing for pregnancy with no physical foundation
Most women start thinking about their body only after they conceive. By then, the pelvic floor foundation, core stability, and strength that makes pregnancy safer and recovery faster is already behind them. Nobody was solving for the preconception window — so Nikita did.
The Pivot — 2026.
The decision to focus on two specific problems instead of being everything to everyone was a defining moment. We realized that our decade of experience wasn't just about general fitness, but about solving the strength gaps that led to chronic pain and navigating the complex physical journey of motherhood.
Nitheesh built REBUILD from his own back injury — sustained while running VyomFIT during COVID. He applied the first-principles approach to spinal mechanics he developed over 14 years of coaching to create a structured path for professionals trapped in the desk-pain cycle.
Nikita built the Motherhood programme from her own pregnancy and preconception journey. She trained through all three trimesters, delivered vaginally without an epidural, and rebuilt her core at 2.5 months postpartum. She realised that the preconception window — building strength before pregnancy begins — was the most underserved and most impactful place to intervene. That insight became the programme.

In 2025, BACK2BASICS was incubated at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore.
Where We Are Today.
Today, BACK2BASICS is a focused coaching practice built around two specific problems — chronic back pain for desk professionals, and preconception strength for women preparing for pregnancy. We don't try to be everything to everyone. We go deep on what we know works, with people who are ready to do the actual work.
Our Mission.
To build a standard of technical mastery and physical resilience that allows professionals to move through desk-bound stress and the motherhood journey with power, not just relief.
“We don't practice to get it right. We practice so we can't get it wrong.”
Our Core Values
Science-Backed Strength
We prioritize evidence-based movement over trends, ensuring every rep builds a functional foundation for Indian professional lifestyles.
Technical Accuracy
Precision is non-negotiable. Our coaching focuses on fine technical details to eliminate the risk of injury and maximize results.
Respect for the Full Journey
We work with women before, during, and after pregnancy. We don't just prepare you to conceive — we build the foundation that carries through every stage.
Long-term Resilience
Our goal isn't a quick fix for back pain, but a lifetime of movement. We build strength that lasts well beyond the session.
